From the time I was young, I've always done my part to take care of animals. When I would come across a lost or wandering pet, I would insist that my parents pull the car over to make sure they were safe. My home became a safe haven for any lost pet who needed help finding their family, and I would care for them until they could be reunited. When I finally got a dog of my own, Snowy, he became my very best friend and the years I spent with him will always be some of my most treasured. I learned what a special bond it is having your own fur-baby and it gave me an even deeper appreciation for how it must feel entrusting their care to someone else while you are away. I have carried this same mentality into my adult life and continue to use my strong compassion for animals to better their lives and the lives of their families. This isn’t just a job for me, it’s a passion and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. Since starting this career professionally, I have been honored to work with several families in and around the San Fernando Valley (even traveling as far as Davis, CA). It has been a pleasure building up a loyal client base that has become like family to me and who often refer to me as their pets' Auntie Kelly. My love for animals has always been a defining part of who I am, long before I ever became a professional pet sitter. Growing up, I was constantly bringing home animals my mom didn’t necessarily plan on keeping, but I couldn’t stand the thought of them not being cared for or loved. That instinct to nurture only grew stronger over time, especially after bonding with my aunt’s dog, Charlie, who couldn’t use his back legs. Caring for him opened my heart to animals with medical needs and showed me how much patience, gentleness, and dedication they require and deserve. Ever since, I’ve had a special place in my heart for dogs who need a little extra help. My family jokes that I’m like a Disney princess because no matter where I go, animals seem to find their way to me, and I to them. Before I ever called myself a professional, I was already the go-to person for friends and family who wanted their pets treated like more than just animals they wanted them loved like family. Working with pets has never felt like a job to me, it’s something I genuinely care about and I will always make sure every animal feels safe, happy, and deeply loved in my care.
